Today I am wearing blue tights and a skirt. I’ve been feeling pretty “super” all day, if you know what I mean!

tights: welovecolors. (Royal blue, not electric. But still! ELECTRIC.)
boots: inherited from my sister.
teapot: a gift for Mom.
my feet: are enormous.

skirt: $25; Macy’s.
belt: $9.99; Marshall’s.
shirt: $9.99; Target.
clock: amazing.

earrings: $4; Forever 21 (or XXI, as it’s called here).
makeup: covergirl.
my beautymarks: you’re jealous of them.

This pair of boots? Do they really work with this outfit? I’m not completely certain. I’m pretty comfortable walking around in them, though they do make my size 11 feet a little more ungainly. I think by virtue of the fact that I’m used to wearing flexible skimmers or tennies, and not hard leather boots that don’t flex when my feet move.

Dressing up on special (or random) days has always been a great little ego-boost for myself. Taking that extra ten (or twenty) minutes to put an outfit together, or do my makeup special really just makes the entire day go by faster!

Also I don’t mind being stared at for having legs the colour of a smurf.

My rellies have arrived all-right from Australia (Australia!) and they’ve brought the required tax of two boxes of Tim-Tams, and I am happy.

No, finals aren’t over yet, but I’m posting. I don’t know if I’m lucky or cursed but my classes have lately had this tendency to be a complete waste of time, besides providing fodder for blog updates, twitter posts, and basically every other aspect of my brain besides the part that retains information about whatever subject I’m studying.

I’m trying out a new segment! We’ll see how this goes:

Because EVERYBODY ELSE picks out cool images, takes the picture and saves it to their webspace and links back… I’m going to draw them instead. Preferably when I’m on the bus. Away from the image. And have no real recollection of what it looks like. Clearly this is a profoundly soul-stretching excersize. I have no idea how to spell excersize.

Let’s start with something I hope y’all already know about:

These boots. I want them. I am not able to link back to wherever they came from, because they came from MY MIND, but I fully believe that somewhere, SOMEWHERE, they exist. I REFUSE to give up on this. (And a pair for Winona, because I promised.)

Not like, literally, my baby cows should be smaller, but, well, you know, we all have to have flaws. Luckily for me my only flaw is my calves. My huge, huge man-calves.

This lovely bird mirror, that I found here and it is only $112, which seems pretty reasonable, I guess.
It is gorgeous, and SO ME, but I have yet to own my own apartment, wall, etc, so am a little nervous to purchase something like this (semi) sight unseen, from the internet, where it could be damaged in shipping! But I still dream about it someday being in my home.

So… I have a thing for ampersands. Yes, that’s an ampersand, or the ever-so-famous “andsign” as many people refer to it nowadays, &&&&&&&& I love them. The way they look in type and script is so awesome, and I think graphically they really pack a punch. The ampersand tote bag can be found here for a measely £10, which I think is actually a lot of money in US dollars, I honestly have no idea. I’d also love to own the “2″ bag on this website, but the “&” really is what I’m salivating after. Too bad I only own about a gazillion purses, you know.

And finally, this lovely lion necklace from ragtrader has been on my wishlist since September. I want it so! I’ve already purchased a necklace from ragtrader before, and can only rant and rave about how awesome she is. My necklace arrived promptly, it’s of great quality, and I think I get the most compiments on my clover than any other necklace I own (and that’s saying quite a bit!). I really need to add this lion to my collection, if only so I can feel more FIERCE during bad days.

I had a dream two nights ago that I got a new job working for a shoe store in the ritzy part of town. The driving focus of the dream was that I had to buy a pair of electric-blue boots. A good portion of my dream was devoted to, “Oh GOSH how am I going to wear those for eight hour days?” “THAT’S THE BEST COLOUR EVER.” and also “I haven’t even been paid yet! I don’t have that kind of money…”

I woke up, relieved I wasn’t obligated to drop an (assumedly) outrageous amount of money on a pair of boots, even if they were amazing and beautiful and electric blue. After a few moments of zen breathing techniques I’ve picked up from my older sister, I realized that my subconscious was telling me something. I opened up my trusty A-Z dream dictionary, and what do you know? The dictionary told me that I need a pair of electric-blue boots.

I figure my subconscious knows best, so I’m attempting to obey!

It’s surprisingly hard to find electric-blue boots. I’ve found some lovely heels, as well as some cute flats (and yes, I am ALL about the snakeskin!).

Alas, I’m starting to wonder if my boots exist. As a description: they were somewhere in between a pair of these Jessica Simpson boots and the bright red boots that Nubby Twiglet rocks often.

Only they were electric-blue. And when I say electric, I mean electric.

Sometimes I wonder what my dreams are trying to tell me, and then I realize that I don’t really mind, I just enjoy having awesome dreams.
