blogging around a uniform

May 16th, 2009 by Brittney

Why hallo thar, readers who have migrated on over here from Daddy Likey!

Sorry it took me so long to acknowledge y’all, there really is no excuse. In penance, I promise to write 1,000 lines of “I will never forget to blog again” in purple ink on banana-scented stationary.

Since the link from Daddy Likey mentions my ability to spill things on myself IN ADDITION TO the fact that I’m apparently good at accessorizing around my coffeejob uniform, I was wondering if ya’ll would be interested in seeing what I wear around my boring uniform that consists of black pants, black shirts, white shirts, and fugly grandma khaki pants?

Heaven knows I need more excuses to take photographs of myself.

So, what do you think? Blogging around a uniform is a go? I think that will just evolve into what was previously known as “my style”, with special editions of “OMG look what I got at goodwill!”.

It is my blog, I’m just hoping some of you are interested in my new idea, and not bored to death by antique posts.

I think it would be interesting to see, especially since I live a similar situation. I’m a waitress, and our uniform is a relatively ill-fitting black button down, dress pants, and black shoes (and of course a lovely apron), so I try to wear some cool earrings or bracelets with it so I feel like I actually look like a girl (I am convinced that I look like a dude with my hair in a ponytail). It’d be neat to see what kind of accessories other working stiffs like me are wearing to jazz things up. Maybe I’ll even join you some day with a post of my own. :)

@Vanessa Cool! I did my first post last night. You should totally join me in my looking-cool around my uniform-ness.
(Oh goodness, english what did I do to you?!)
