Or Things I Am Adoring This Week:

CO Bigelow’s Mentha Lip Tint $7.50
This lip tint comes in many light shades of red and pink and also has 2% peppermint!
For those of us who A) love peppermint, and B) have issues with metal mouth (I blame the retainer that the dentist has left in my mouth for 6 years now) this product is a lifesaver! I’ve never understood the point of using lip gloss before, but when I wear this I feel shiny and delicious and lovely.

My iPod / music device.
I rediscover my iPod every time when the weather decides to be nice enough to walk outside. Whether I’m walking to the bus stop or simply enjoying the (chance) moments of spring sunshine, my iPod has been glued to my hip this week, even more so than usual!
Suggested tunes for spring jamming:
Tonight: Franz Ferdinand. by Franz Ferdinand (at last.fm)
My favourite song: “Bite Hard”
We Started Nothing. by The Ting Tings (at last.fm)
My favourite song: “That’s Not My Name / We Walk / Great DJ” (I can’t decide!)
Any songs. by Imogen Heap (at last.fm) I can’t tell you what my favourite song is because I love all of them. Equally. Her music is wonderful and perfect for melancholy gray, or beautiful sunshine.

Rose Ring. From $6-$20, depending on where you go
(search results on etsy)
I have been wanting to buy myself a plastic rose ring for a coon’s age* and every few months I revisit the search results page on etsy.com to see if one has been made that I need. Someday I’ll actually buy one, (You know… the ONE I have envisioned in my miiind!) but until then I’ll just think about all of the outfits I could wear it with, and how appropriate it is for life right now. Hopeful, but still tiny.
*A friend of mine taught me that phrase, and then explained that it meant “a really really really really long time”. She actually uses it in day to day conversation! Am attempting to integrate it into my vocabulary, stat!

Heart in Oregon pin. $3
Guess where I live. Guess! GUESS.
I love this ad-campaign, and fully endorse it. I’m not sure if the company has started making hearts for other states yet, but I really thing this is a sweet way to show your patriotism/that you care about our local geography. And also that you embrace good design. (Which really, should be on everyone’s list.)
Anyway, I bought one of these pins a few weeks ago, and have been proudly wearing it on my jacket ever since!
I am loving this photo shoot:
“The Right Stuff” photographed by Arthur Elgort.
How awesome are these pictures? Pairing high fashion with astronauts needs to happen more often, I think.

Lubriderm SPF 15 Daily UV protection lotion $10
I know, I know, I could talk about the change in the weather until your eyes bleed, but I tend to forget while my world is bathed in gloomy gray that there’s this Thing. Called The Sun. That you should be aware of. It began to peek out this month and I ran outside for a few minutes to play frisbee with my family (Why yes, we are so Leave It To Beaver!) and this happened:
Me: “Ahhhhhh! Sunshine!”
My body: “Let’s work up a sweat, while running around with a frisbee!”
Me: “Okay!”
My skin: “Yaknow, we don’t think this is a good idea…”
My body: “Man, it really is freaking hot out here, in the sunshine, having a blast. Let’s take off this jacket, sweatshirt and long-sleeved shirt!”
Me: “Okay!”
My skin: “We’re not sure… we’ve been living in the caves for these past five years and…”
Me: “Nah, don’t be a wuss, it feels nice!”
My skin: “Y-yeah! We guess you’re right! We LIKE the sun! We LOVE the–AUGGGHGGHHH!”
Me: “Dude, wtf?”
My skin: “IT BURRRNS USSSSSSS”
Me: “Five. Freaking. Minutes.”
My skin: “WEEEE ARE SENNNNSITIVE. SHUT UP.”
So here I go, piling on my trusty daily SPF. I guess I’m lucky enough that I can slather on a light lotion every morning and not suffer heinous consequences of the acne variety, but I’d really suggest that everyone try it. My skin is much closer to its happier, cursing-under-its-breath-self, (“It does not care if we be burned. It does not care if we should be covered in itchy bumpses!) and I am finally preserving my lily-white skin so that when I am on a busy street and there’s a disaster and George Clooney yells, “QUICK! IS ANYONE PALER THAN THIS PIECE OF PRINTER PAPER?!” I’ll be able to promptly scoot myself to the forefront and probably save a kitten’s life or something.

Chocolate Bunnies.
Because it’s that time of year, I find myself with access to what I would like to call “my own personal brand of kryptonite”.
I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “This Brittney, she is so refined. She obviously is referring to the Godiva Easter Eggs or even the delicious Ferro Rocher Easter bunny candies.”
But no.
I am, of course, referring to…
The bunny-shaped chocolate dipped marshmallow.
You will see, if you click the link above, that you can, ahem, acquire a package of eight for the low, low price of $3.
And you can send them to me. Remember? I live in Oregon!

Oh my stars, I totally forgot about how great C.O. Bigelow’s MenthaTint is! I know I have a couple of tubes lying about, gathering dust; I’m definitely going to dig them out and start wearing them more!

@Jessica Thanks! :D It takes a lot of extra time (I know, it doesn’t look like it would) but I think it’s worth it for the aesthetic. Also it’s way more fun! :D
