it’ll all work out

April 26th, 2009 by Brittney

So, I buckled down and renewed my flickr account, just as a warning. If you think this blog is image-heavy now, just you wait until… until… after now.

Today I wore my latest Goodwill find. A Mossimo jacket that I spent $4.99 on!

tanktop: $7.97; Norstrom Rack.
jacket: $4.99; Goodwill (you’re jealous).
jeans: $28.99; Old Navy
flipflops: $12.99; Ross (don’t match, should have worn boots).

earrings: I have no idea where they came from.
eyes: stila orchid compact.
lips: chanel #20: “Sun Beige” (omg I have chanel lipstick?!)
gold chain: given to me by trucker uncle (aka my #1 style icon).
fake model expression: free!

Aaaaaaand then for some reason I decided to take more pictures after working all day, and I realized that I make the same eyebrow-face in all of my pictures:

turtleneck: $9.99; Target (I think I wear this shirt every day).
curly hair: courtesy of my mother.
undereye circles: courtesy of working 7 night shifts in a row.
my nose: is fabulous.

So, yes. There’s my outfit. I’m thinking I should have broken out my black ankle-bootie things for this outfit, but alas am a wuss and much prefer shoving my feet into flipflops instead of cramming them into closed-toed shoes. I’m planning on changing this, though, as I just invested in yet another pair of ridiculous heels.

I would like to take this opportunity to inform the internet that I’m really rather good at coordinating outfits, except for the shoes. Ugh.

Also I’d like to thank the local-area-Target-customers for not purchasing anything from Target from last season, since I keep scoring last-season’s looks for dirt cheap at Goodwill. It’s basically the coolest thing ever.

Heehee, your fake model expression is fabulous. That’s a pretty sweet jacket, too.

Ahaha, thanks! I would win at ANTM, I think.

Good for you on your Goodwill finds! I was just there yesterday – bought a bunch of white hob nail vases and flower planters… my favorites. So fun to get a bargain!

Elizabeth – thanks! Goodwill really is the best store, isn’t it? You never know just what you’ll find. I think I have more fun finding ugly/ridiculous things than I do treasures. :)
