think of me fondly
Aight, so I’ve been consumed (CONSUMED!) this semester with finals. And by consumed, I mean I’m the biggest wuss ever and freak out about writing papers, spend the entire day putting them off and write them in the wee hours of the morning, and then start the cycle over for the next paper.
Does anyone else remember being little and hearing grown-ups say things like, “The Holidays really snuck up on me this year.” and being completely confused?
How could you forget about the holidays?! You started counting down in August, and it’s been forever and now we’re getting closer and hey, you’ve had like, an entire YEAR to be prepared what on earth is your problem?
I finally understand what those grownups went through. Here I was, just living my life in September when suddenly I woke up and it was December 12th! I–I’m not ready! I didn’t ever get a cooler present for my sister! I don’t have anything picked out for my ladyfriends! I don’t even know what ugly sweater I’m wearing on Christmas Eve!
I was even going to make Christmas cards again this year. The card I made last year card was way cool, and it was so much fun creating, making, and sending it off (though the time I spent cutting out those freaking stars was NOT FUN), I really wanted to do it again.
Too late now. Alas.
Anyway, to get to the point, you’d better start shopping now–my birthday is a mere three weeks after Christmas, you know. Wouldn’t want it sneaking up on you.
